By regulation Swedish Marianne Ny needs UK's authorisation to interrogate

Interrogation of the suspect who is abroad
2012-08-15
A report on the regulation (for) of the interrogation overseas.

Provisions on international legal assistance in criminal matters are mainly in the Act (2000:562) on international legal assistance in criminal matters. A hearing for a preliminary investigation with a suspect who is abroad requires a formal request for legal assistance to the country. Whether and to what extent the Swedish authorities can then get assistance from abroad is a matter governed by the law of the country concerned and the international commitments it has made in relation to Sweden.

If the Swedish authorities want to conduct an interview with a person who is at an Embassy in London, an application for authorization to be sent to the judicial authorities in the UK. Britain will then examine the application in accordance with British law and British convention commitments.
